Bangladesh's Towhid Hridoy found guilty of breaching ICC Code of Conduct .

 Bangladesh batter Towhid Hridoy was fined 15 per cent of his match fees in the third T20I.



Towhid was found to have breached Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the third T20I agains SriLanka, remonstrating aggressively and inappropriately with Sri Lanka players.

 Nuwan Thushara's impressive bowling performance in the third T20I helped Sri Lanka secure a 28-run win, securing a 2-1 win in the three-game series, with Towhid also contributing to the victory.

Towhid, a player, was fined 15% of his match fees and added a demerit point to his disciplinary record for breaching Article 2.20 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel. The charges were brought by on-field umpires Sharfuddoula Saikat and Tanvir Ahmed, third umpire Gazi Sohel, and fourth umpire Masudur Rahman. 

The sanction was proposed by Andy Pycroft of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees and was admitted by Towhid without a formal hearing. Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum penalty of 50% of a player's match fee, and one or two demerit points.
