A decision from the ICC about the Nassau pitch that inherited the defeat for Sri Lanka

The International Cricket Council has admitted that the two pitches that have been used so far at the controversial Nassau State International Cricket Stadium in New York, where the match between the Sri Lankan team and the South African team was held yesterday, are substandard.

Accordingly, the International Cricket Council says that they are trying to apply a "remedy" for the upcoming World Cup matches to be held at that stadium.

A day after the match between India and Ireland was played on very difficult wickets in the same stadium yesterday (06), the International Cricket Council mentioned that the pitches used so far at the Nassau State International Cricket Stadium have not shown the standard we need.

The Sri Lankan team was the first team to bat in an international match on these pitches, which were brought and installed in a park within a period of five months, in which all the Sri Lankan batsmen were bowled out for 77 runs.

The South African team, who played the innings in reply, also passed the target by losing 4 wickets.

In the subsequent India-Ireland match, the behavior of this pitch showed a poor nature, and the Irish team, who batted first, were all out for 96 runs.

In that too, the Indian team which played the reply innings won, but due to the controversial behavior on the pitch, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant were hit by the ball.

Meanwhile, a ball thrown by Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah hit Irish player Harry Tector's finger in the match.

After the India-Ireland match, the pitch

pitch was heavily criticized by several former cricketers, with former Zimbabwean Andy Flower, an expert on ESPNcricinfo & Timeout, saying it was a "terrible boundary".

However, pitch numbers 2 and 3 of this stadium have not yet been used for games, and it has been observed that the grass has been cut on one of its surfaces, reports ESPNcricinfo.

Meanwhile, the Indo-Pakistan match, which is waiting for the world on June 9th, is going to be held at that stadium, and apart from that match, 05 more matches are going to be held at that stadium.
