Wanindu Hasaranga fined 11 lakhs..

The LPL Competition Committee has decided to fine the Candy Falcons captain Wanindu Hasaranga 3600 US Dollars (11 Lakh Sri Lanka Rupees) on the charge of illegal use of clothing in the production of the Sri Lankan Premier League.

While all the players participating in this tournament have been given separate clothes and equipment with the coulors of their respective teams, Wanindu Hasaranga has come to the field wearing a 'helmet' with a different logo.

There, the Irish judge Rollie Black informed him to take it off, but not obeying the judge's decision has resulted in this punishment.

Match referee Graeme Labroy has officially informed the Kandy team against Wanindu according to the match refereed after the match between Kandy Falcons and Colombo Strikers.

This incident has prompted all players for the LPL to inform the competition committee to refrain from using any clothing items that do not belong to them in any way.

The players have been instructed to wear full sportsmanship attire for the awards ceremony attended at the end of the matches.

It was Wanindu Hasaranga coming at the end of the competition and bringing 'two sandals' to an award ceremony and drawing the attention of the investigation committee.
