Sri Lanka are set to play their final Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup against Pakistan tomorrow at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, but the team could be without two key players due to injuries.
According to reports, wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis is likely to miss the crucial encounter due to an injury concern. All-rounder Dushan Hemantha is also expected to be unavailable for selection.
Replacement Changes Expected
If Mendis is ruled out officially, Kamil Mishara is expected to come into the playing XI. Reports suggest he will also take over wicketkeeping duties for the match.
Meanwhile, Janith Liyanage is likely to replace Hemantha in the lineup for the must-win clash.
Sri Lanka will be aiming to finish their Super 8 campaign on a high note, but the absence of experienced players could pose an additional challenge against a strong Pakistan side.
An official confirmation regarding the final playing XI is expected closer to match time.
